about
Hello! I am the Director of Computer Education for Breck School in Minneapolis. I joined the school to be a part of their exciting and transformative one-to-one laptop program. Will Wright once said, “It turns out that we don’t use computers to enhance our math skills, we use them to expand our people skills.” It is for this reason that I am drawn to the promise that through the internet, people will be connected in new ways throughout the world, and it’s for this world that we have to prepare our kids.
I graduated in 2001 from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science. During college I was a member of the Alpine Ski Team and spent a semester abroad in Luleå, Sweden. When I’m not tinkering with something on the computer, I enjoy numerous outdoor activities, road trips and the occasional burrito. I am happily married to my wife Sonja and we live in South Minneapolis with our dog, Yeti.
There is a picture of me to your right. I wish I still had that shirt!
