IF you know a storm is coming through thats a great rule. If you sleep through the storm, then you get plowed in, and if your car gets damaged its your fault. I have always lived in places that have driveways or a parking lot so its never been an issue for me, but I do feel sorry for the people having to dig out of that. On a side note, I was once caught DRIVING in a snow storm and at the time had a very small white car, and they plowed me under on the HIGHWAY! I was terrified. Fortunately someone saw it happen and was able to stop and put up flares and dig me out, because I couldnt even open the doors! In NJ, generally the rule is no parking if snow covered.
