Rumsfield Needs to Shut It

US attention turns to Syria

Can we place a gag order on Rumsfield? My goodness, we haven’t even finished fighting in Iraq, much less started rebuilding, and we’re alreday waving our guns about at another country?

Maybe someone should see how we’re doing at helping rebuild Afghanistan?

Boils My Blood (Chaps My Hide)

Since when are we not allowed to disagree with our president or government?

This is the kind of stuff that just drives me insane.

Petroskey, a former assistant press secretary in the Reagan administration, wrote a letter Monday to actor Tim Robbins informing him the hall was canceling a 15th anniversary celebration of the movie “Bull Durham” scheduled for April 26-27 at Cooperstown.

Had Petroskey deep-sixed Robbins for a barely credible throwing motion while portraying fireballing right-hander Nuke LaLoosh in the movie, that would have been one thing. Instead, the hall boss cited Robbins’ anti-war stance.

He said the actor’s “very public criticism of President Bush … helps undermine the U.S. position, which ultimately could put our troops in even more danger.”

People are acting like sheep in this country! Whatever you say President Bush, whatever you say Donald Rumsfield. I’m sure you have the best interests of all americans and the iraqi people in mind. I’m sure you are there to liberate. Whatever you say about Syria must be true as well. Keep talking Mr. Rumsfield, you lull me to sleep at night.

The Second Superpower

If the idea of an Emergent Democracy and a Second Superpower takes hold, this may be the most important document you will ever read.

Weblog of the author, Jim Moore.

Good article about Al-Jazeera

Interesting story…

You can’t take anything you see on TV or read in the papers at face value….

Would you like a kick in the ass to go with those fries?

This just about makes me cry.

Don’t our lawmakers have better things to do?

Earth to the dumbasses in Washington: France, Germany, and Russia are not the problem. If you really have this irrefutable evidence that Saddam is doing the things you say he is. Let us have it. If not, we’ve got bigger problems on our hands: North Korea, the economy, people wasting time and money changing the name of french fries.

Americans are Confused?

I’m dumbfounded by the statistics quoted in this article

“To the best of your knowledge, how many of the September 11 hijackers were Iraqi citizens?”

(you’ll have to click the “free day pass” link to get to the article)

If you didn’t get that question right, please, please, please do some reading and learn about what’s going on in the world. TV is not going to give you the straight info.

Saddam is a bad man

I feel I should clarify my position on the whole Iraq war, President Bush thing. At least for myself, because it’s confusing just thinking about it.

I have no doubt that Saddam is a bad person, evil even. I am sure that he has researched, and used chemical weapons. I think there is evidence of this. I am sure he has tortured and killed his own people, and basically rules the country with an iron fist. I would not want to be living in Iraq under his regime.
