I can’t say that I agree with your proposal to RAISE the tax (simply because Erin and I can’t afford $4.50 a gallon, suspending it for the summer is, without a doubt, one of the worst ideas floated so far this election cycle. I like the point BHO made about how it will save you (again, the actual you) $28, assuming that the oil companies don’t just step in and raise their prices, banking on the fact that most people won’t even realize it.
Love this. Has she become so cocky to believe that a few years as first lady have made her smarter than the nation’s most brilliant and respected economists? For what it’s worth, I ALREADY pay $4.65 a gallon for diesel and happily walk to work whenever I can. :o)
I agree that we need more public transportation, but I don’t think it’s fair to restrict driving to the upper class before we get the public transportation established. We need some intermediatory system also.
